Dental plan
Good dental health is fundamental for an overall healthy life, however 9 out of 10 children of school age already have at least one filling. Regular visits to the dentist help customers to protect their teeth and also save them money in the long run.
CIGNA’s dental plans are designed to meet gaps in dental coverage provided by the state in different European markets. They generally cover check-ups, cleanings and other preventive treatments with other services being available through our dentist networks with savings of up to 50% on average private prices.
The plans vary by country and are designed to complement local provision and offer excellent value for money.
Cancer plan
A comprehensive Cancer Care Plan that provides substantial financial support in the event that a person is diagnosed with, has treatment for, or passes away from cancer. The financial protection element is complemented by health and lifestyle support for families affected by cancer.
This plan pays out a cash lump sum on first diagnosis of a covered cancer and another cash sum in the event of death from cancer, as well as an additional monthly benefit should the deceased have children under 18 years of age. The optional health support benefit offers peace of mind through regular health screening and online assessments, as well as nurse support in the event of a claim.
Critical Illness
Our Critical Illness plans offer financial protection when faced with the consequences of being diagnosed with a serious illness. The plan is focused on helping people cope with living with an illness of this nature, which could mean the need for additional help at home, trips to see specialists overseas, the payment of alternative treatments, any of which could cause a considerable drain on the family finances.
The plan covers the following five major illnesses as well as a second medical opinion consultation service:
- Cancer
- Stroke
- Heart attack
- Coronary artery by pass surgery
- Major organ transplant
A lump sum cash payment is made upon diagnosis of one of the serious illnesses listed. The plan provides what is called a “living” benefit and therefore the product must have a survival clause included.
